Finance is responsible for budget development, purchasing, payroll, accounts payable, fixed asset/inventory control, general accounting, utility billing, and real property services.
The Fire department provides fire suppression, rescue, emergency medical care, and hazardous materials response. It is responsible for the City's disaster preparedness program. The department also administers fire safety inspections and education programs aimed at reducing fire and medical emergencies.

Maps & GIS
The City of Redmond’s Geographic Information System (GIS) is responsible for maintaining geographic and related data about the City’s physical infrastructure, parcels, zoning, sensitive area, etc. The City makes selected information available to the public through either standard map products, interactive online maps or through access to the raw GIS data.
Parks & Recreation
Parks and Recreation is responsible for the development and maintenance of city parks and greenbelts, the rental and scheduling of park and community facilities, and provision of recreation and arts programs and activities.
Planning is responsible for development review; long range, land use and transportation planning; building inspection; code enforcement; community development and demographics; human services; tourism.
The Police Department provides Redmond citizens protection from criminal activity through identification and apprehension of offenders, detection of crime, and crime prevention programs.
