The Entry Level Hiring Process
- Pass initial written and physical agility tests conducted through Public Safety Testing
- Apply at Redmond.gov, pass the screening process and oral board exam
- Pass background including Chief’s interview, polygraph, psychological and medical exams
- Complete WA State Criminal Justice Training Center Basic Law Enforcement Academy
- Complete Field Training Program, partnering with an experienced officer for 16 weeks
Requirements
- 21 years of age or older
- U.S. Citizen or lawful permanent resident
- 90 quarter or 60 semester hours from an accredited college
- College waiver for 2+ years LE experience
- Valid WA State driver’s license upon hire
