Boards & Committees

Teen Advisory Boards & Committees help create, promote and facilitate activities based students’ passions and interests. There are four Teen Advisory Boards here at the Teen Center.

Each board/committee has its own governing structure and meets on a different day. To get involved, please read more about the groups below and contact us with any questions or to let us know you’d like to come to a meeting.

Redmond Youth Partnership Advisory Committee (RYPAC)

RYPAC is a longstanding youth leadership board focused on community service and giving back here in Redmond. RYPAC members are called upon regularly by Redmond’s City Council and LWSD Superintendent to share their input. 

RYPAC is open to youth ages 13 to 18 who reside or attend school in Redmond. 


  • 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
  • 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month

Teen Arts Collective (TAC)

Artists and art enthusiasts join Redmond’s first Teen Arts Collective to empower youth through art by giving them the necessary resources to celebrate their art, learn to collaborate, take on leadership positions and create the arts programming they want for the community.

Each month members are asked to organize and support our monthly Artist Showcase and other TAC lead art activity.  Hours spent at meetings and organizing events count towards their community service hours. Time commitment ranges from 2 to 6 hours a month depending on what’s going on.

Youth Advisory Board and Advocacy (YABA)

The Old Fire House’s Youth Advisory Board and Advocacy (YABA) promotes positive change, and serves our community by creating positive experiences for Redmond teens. Events include the SnowBall toy drive concert, Laugh On comedy night and the Summer Time Radness year-end party. YABA also plans weekly activities here at the Old Fire House Teen Center.

City Events Interns

Earn service hours while supporting events with the City of Redmond. If you think Derby Days, So Bazaar & Redmond Lights are a blast, come help us make these events possible. We’ll learn project & event management skills as well as day of event management and delegation all while having fun with your friends. Meets monthly, exact day TBD. Tentative date on a Wednesday.

Theater Internships

The Old Fire House Teen Center is launching Redmond Theater Group in January 2020! We are looking for tech interns of all skill levels to assist with the essential design & production elements that bring a show together. Gain volunteer hours and learn or develop a technical skill while being an integral part of a theater production!

STEM Internships

The STEM Interns at the Old Fire House Teen Center help promote STEM literacy to middle School students. Interns build and facilitate STEM curriculum to the Redmond Middle School After School Enrichment Program on Wednesday afternoons. Interns also meet as a group on other days to plan and reflect on the program.
