Employer grants

Grants are available to employers who offer new or enhanced commute trip reduction programs, including:

Vanpool subsidies of $50 or more per employee per month.
Fully-subsidized transit passes.
Incentives of at least $20 per employee per month to carpool, walk, or bike to work.
Bike racks, lockers, and free bike helmets.
Priority parking for carpools and other parking incentives.
VanShare connections from transit hubs to your office.

Getting started is easy

Review the R-TRIP Employer Grant formula to determine the amount of funding your company is eligible to receive.
Complete and submit the application form:

(Please note: programs to be implemented as part of a Transportation Management Program are not eligible for R-TRIP funding.)

R-TRIP Grant Formula

If you are offering $20 or more per employee per month for a bike / walk / carpool program; a fully subsidized transit pass; or a vanpool subsidy of $50 or more per employee per month, then R-TRIP will reimburse you for the first $5,000 of your new or enhanced subsidies. If your program costs are over $5,000 then use the following formula:

If you are a small company of less than 100 employees, R-Trip will pay the first $1,200 of your commute subsidy expenses and provide a 50% match above this amount!

If you are a medium size company of 100-500 employees, R-Trip will pay the first $2,400 of your commute subsidy expenses and provide a 33% match above this amount!

If you are a large company of over 500 employees, R-Trip will pay the first $3,600 of your commute subsidy expenses and provide a 25% match above this amount!
