Open Painting and Wooden O Theatre production are free to the public Join the Eastside Association of Fine Arts for open painting at Redmond City Hall, 15670 NE 85th Street on August 5 from 2 to 6 pm.
Experience outdoor painting by watching artists paint in the area around City Hall or bring along your paint, brushes and canvas to join this outdoor painting experience.
Following the outdoor painting, Shakespeare’s The Merchant of Venice will be performed by Wooden O Theatre. In this dynamic play, directed by Russ Banham, a young man's loan to impress a would-be girlfriend endangers the life of his friend when the loan comes due. Shakespeare's dynamic play illuminates both sides of prejudicial relationships and delves into the humanity behind our stereotypes and misconceptions. The performance begins at 7 pm.
Both events are free. Please bring a blanket, chair, picnic lunch, dinner or snack, and, since the performance is outside, be prepared for weather conditions. More information is at availabe on our website.
