Redmond residents have an opportunity to contribute their ideas regarding the green character of the Redmond-Woodinville Road Corridor at a public workshop on Thursday, July 26, from 6 to 9 pm at Redmond City Hall, 15670 NE 85 Street.
City staff will display examples of green corridor alternatives, while residents will be asked to recommend corridor features to preserve and establish Red-Wood Road as a green gateway into Redmond.
“This study began in April to evaluate future potential improvements between NE 106 and NE 124 Streets,” says Don Cairns, Redmond Transportation Manager. “Its outcome will determine future cross-section and right-of-way needs for Red-Wood Road and for 154 Place NE, as well as intersection, ped-bike and trail improvements.”
City staff are also working with residents in “The Wedge” sub-area (north of NE 109 Street and west of Red-Wood Road) to discuss parcel development features such as setbacks and buffers, and to address access points and internal circulation in this sub-area.
A reservation for this workshop is required to ensure enough space is provided. Call 425-556-2440 to reserve a place. For more information about the study, visit the City’s website information.
Interested residents may also contact Jeanne Justice at jjustice@redmond.gov or 425.556.2887 or Kim Dietz at kdietz@redmond.gov or 425-556-2415 for specific project details.
