Volunteer Opportunities

We couldn’t do it without you! We need 100 volunteers on Sunday, December 2 for the RedmondLights Celebration.  Below are descriptions of the various volunteer opportunities.

All volunteers should wear comfortable clothes and dress for the weather.  The event will go on, rain or shine!

Please contact Sharon Rockwood at 425-556-2352 or srockwood@redmond.gov, or Hiroshi Gato at hiroshigato@msn.com by Friday, November 30 if you would like to volunteer for this special event.  And, thank you!

VOLUNTEER POSITIONS  DUTIES  TIMES NEEDED
Luminary set up and takedown   Place (or remove) luminaries along the trail   8 am to 2 pm
8 pm to 10 pm
City Hall Host   Assist with set up, serving & clean up of refreshments at the City Hall Campus   3 pm to 5:30 pm
Trail host   Facilitate public flow along Sammamish River Trail, support Entertainers   4:30 pm to 6:30 pm
Food Booth Hosts   Setup, carrying and distributing supplies.   3 pm to 8 pm
Set up and Breakdown at Redmond Town Center Help with event logistics including tables, chairs, tents, sign placement, garbage cans, etc 10:30 am to 2:30 pm
8 pm to 10 pm

 

Program distribution   Hand out RedmondLights Programs   4 pm to 8 pm
Information Booth   Answer questions & help to direct visitors to various areas at Redmond Town Center   10 am to 9 pm
Survey Hosts Survey visitors regarding event at Redmond Town Center
6 pm to 8 pm
