Redmond Derby Days, which is celebrating its 68th anniversary
in 2008, is a summer tradition that came to life at the end of the
Depression. It began as a drive to raise money for downtown
holiday decorations and school athletic equipment. The Redmond
Bicycle Derby was the outgrowth of a small town's community spirit
and is now the nation's longest running bicycle race. As
always, this year's event
will include activities for young and old. Mark your calendar
and join the fun.
The Redmond Derby Days is coordinated by the City of Redmond.
Many
community businesses and organizations contribute to the success and
vitality of the event. If you are
