Construction

The Web Cam was strategically located to take photograph stills of the new City Hall building progress and construction site.  The Web Cam has now been taken down due to the pending demolition of the surrounding buildings.

Aerial photos of the changing construction site have also been made available by Lease Crutcher Lewis and Above the Rest.

The groundbreaking ceremony for the new City Hall building was held in November 2004 at the new building site.

Construction for the exterior walls began in May with the stone and glass work. The interior work began in late July. City employees moved into the new building in December 2005.  Your patience has been greatly appreciated during this time of change.

Construction for the parking garage structure is complete after being postponed pending stabilization of steel prices.  The garage was open in time for the December 4th Redmond Lights Celebration.

The artwork in front of City Hall and on the parking garage structure have been completed and installed.

The NE 85th Street entrance to City Hall is open to vehicle traffic.  Parking -- including disabled access parking -- is clearly marked. Parking is also available to campus visitors in the new parking garage structure and in the lot adjacent to the Senior Center through the 160th Avenue NE campus entrance.  Please click here for an updated site map.

The utility bill payment drop-off box has been relocated to the traffic circle in front of the new City Hall. There is no longer a drop-off box in front of the Senior Center.  To drop off your utility bill payment, enter the City Hall campus through the NE 85th Street entrance and proceed straight to the traffic circle in front of City Hall.  The USPS mailbox formerly located in front of the old City Hall has been permanently relocated to the sidewalk just in front of the Senior Center.
