In conjunction with the new City Hall, the City has developed a
master plan for a Municipal Campus Central Park that will stretch from
the Sammamish River Trail into the heart of the City's campus.
Four concept alternatives were developed and evaluated with input
from staff, boards and commissions, and the public. Through the evaluation process,
a
Preferred Alternative emerged and was developed
using a concept which had been modified to incorporate the input
received during the review and evaluation process. This draft was
approved in June 2004 by the Parks Board, with revisions finalized
in November. The final master plan was approved by the Parks Board in January
2005.
The Central Park Master Plan was presented to City Council and
adopted without funding in March 2005. The final master plan will be

particularly along the river
- Promote sustainable opportunities
- Provide materials and furnishings of high quality promoting
durability and ease of maintenance
