Achieving the community's values and goals for how Redmond should look
and feel depends on taking action. These actions involve carrying
out the City's policies as part of discussions and decisions that occur
as often as daily to as infrequently as every other year.
Examples of actions include:
- Private sector initiatives that support the community's vision,
such as investments that contribute to Redmond's economic vitality or
to an increase in innovative housing choices.
- Applying regulations and codes to specific projects through
development reviews and public improvements.
- Updating functional plans, which are detailed, long-range plans
concerning needs, funding, and timing for facility improvements, such
as parks or utilities.
- Updating and adopting the City's biennial budget.
- Regional or state agencies' decisions on transportation funding
that support Redmond's Comprehensive Plan
- Carrying out City programs, such as the Neighborhood Planning
Program.
