One of the early implementation actions associated with the Overlake Neighborhood Plan update is a wayfinding study which will lead to the extension of the Downtown wayfinding project to the Overlake Neighborhood.  The broad goals of this program include:

• Enhancing Overlake's pedestrian and bicycle environments
  
• Improving linkages to Overlake from other areas
  
• Making information available to visitors
  

Locations for the three types of wayfinding elements -- directional signs, kiosks, and gateways -- have been identified and are shown on the Overlake Wayfinding Map.  Tier 1 Directional Signs were installed at 20 locations throughout the neighborhood in 2009.
