The City has hosted three major public events relating to the
Overlake Neighborhood Plan Update, including a public design
workshop in May 2006 and two open houses.
The purpose of the public design workshop in May 2006 was to
inform the development of a concept plan for the Overlake shopping
area. Approximately 50 citizens participated in this event. For more
information on the event and the concept plan that resulted from it,
please visit the Design Charrette page.
The purpose of the November 2006 open house was to present
three alternatives for Overlake in 2030. These alternatives maintain
the existing vision for the neighborhood and incorporate many of the
main ideas that resulted from the public design workshop. For more
information on this open house and the alternatives, please visit the
November 2006 Open House page.
The purpose of the March 2007 open house was to present
strategies for action and implementation steps related to the
Action Alternative, as well as the
results of the Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS)
released on March 23. For more information on this open house
and the strategies for action, please visit the
March 2007 Open House page.
