Phase II of the Overlake Neighborhood Plan Update and Implementation
Project has begun and includes a variety of early implementation
actions, including those listed below.
- Overlake Parking Management Study: An early implementation
action seeking to create a Parking Management Plan as called for
in adopted Overlake Neighborhood Plan policies (COMPLETED)
- Overlake Wayfinding Study: An extension of the successful
Downtown project into the Overlake Neighborhood (COMPLETED)
- NE 40th Street Corridor Study: A joint Planning/Public Works
look at pedestrian/bicycle, safety, and aesthetic issues along
this significant east-west corridor
- 152nd Avenue NE Corridor Study: A joint Planning/Public Works
look at light rail, pedestrian/bicycle, and urban design issues along
this key north-south corridor in Overlake Village
- Policy and Regulatory Updates: Updates and clarifications to
various policies and regulations adopted for the Overlake
Neighborhood in 2007 as part of Phase I of this study
(COMPLETED)
- Overlake Village Stormwater and Parks Facilities Conceptual
Design: A major step forward with implementation of the plan is
development of a conceptual design of how regional stormwater
and park facilities can be best integrated into the neighborhood
- Single Family Residential Subarea Plan: An update to
policies and regulations pertaining to the single family
residential portion of the neighborhood

Phase I of the Overlake Neighborhood Plan Update and Implementation
Project began in 2005 and resulted in the adoption of updated
policies and regulations in December 2007. Visit the Phase I
