Scheduled Environmental Opportunities

Restore your Forested Parkland

Join in the effort to restore your forested parkland.  The Green Redmond Partnership has a goal of bringing 1200 acres of forested parkland into active management over the next 20 years. This partnership between Cascade Land Conservancy and the City of Redmond is dependent on volunteers to help us remove non-native, invasive plants and replant these areas with native species.

Storm Drain Marking

Many people do not know that our storm drains flow directly to our lake, river, and stream without treatment.   The City needs volunteers to place markers next to storm drains to remind people to "Dump no Waste."  The markers use a strong adhesive, so we ask that an adult assist volunteers less than 16 years of age with this activity.  Markers must be placed during warm, dry conditions in order for the adhesive to set properly.

Organized Group Projects

Looking for a project for you community, group, class, or business. We do our best to fit the activity with the age, activity level, and skill level of the group. Environment service learning components can be built in for teachers looking to extend education beyond the classroom.

Attention Students!

Do you need to participate in a community service project in order to fulfill a course requirement? Join us at one of our scheduled events or gather a group of your classmates and we can organize an event for a group of 8 or more.

But don't wait until the last minute to call! Contact Peter Holte, volunteer coordinator, early in the semester so he can match you with a project that fits your schedule.
