RedmondLights – December 7, 2008
Event Description: tree lighting at city hall, holiday river walk to Redmond Town Center, food, music and entertainment and kids activities. View the website information.

Volunteer Opportunities:

  • Information booth – set up and decorate booth, answer questions, direct volunteers
  • Set-up and Tear-down at city hall – decorate, assemble tents, prepare booths
  • Set-up and tear down at Redmond Town Center – assist food vendors with load-in and load-out, distribute signage and supplies around event site.
  • Blinkers – pass out blinkers on the trail
  • Food Booth Helpers – deliver supplies to food booths
  • Trail Hosts – assist entertainers along trail, prepare the entertainment site; turning on lanterns and heaters, facilitate flow of crowd, and answer event questions
  • Shuttle Bus Hosts – direct attendees to buses, answer event questions, hand out candy canes

Eggstravaganza - March 22, 2008
Event Description: Annual spring event, geared towards families and small children. Located at the Redmond Senior Center, co-sponsored by the Lions Club, Kiwanis Club and the City of Redmond.Activities include: Egg hunt, pancake breakfast, kid’s activities, vision screening, photos with Mr. Bunny, music and much more!

Attention Students – Great for school groups!
Do you need to participate in a community service project in order to fulfill a course requirement? School groups are the perfect fit for this event – come with a group of friends and work together.

Volunteer Opportunities:

  • Set-up – hide eggs, prepare kids activities area, decorations
  • Assist with kids activities – face painting, games, bunny walk (cakewalk) etc.
  • Assist with the pancake breakfast - bussing tables, serving
  • Clean-up

Redmond Derby Days - July 12, 2008
Event Description: Traditional summer festival. Components include – kids parade, grand parade, family entertainment stage, live music, bicycle Criterium, food, carnival, beer and wine garden and fireworks finale!

Volunteer Opportunities:

  • Information Booth – answer event questions, direct volunteers
  • Set-up – assist vendors with load-in, distribute signage, distribute and set-up booth equipment and assemble beer and wine garden
  • Event programs – distribute programs to attendees
  • Stage hand – assist entertainers with needs back-stage
  • Tear-down – disassemble booths, beer and wine garden, removal of tables, chairs, garbage cans, equipment
  • Inflatable supervisor – supervise children’s inflatable, maintain order and safety
  • Survey Team – Filter through crowd conducting surveys from attendees
