Comprehensive Flood Hazard Management Plan

Flood Planning at Home

What can I do to reduce flood hazards at home?

If you live near a stream, river or lake, you should:
• determine whether you live in a flood prone area;
• have plans for evacuation;
• consider purchasing flood insurance; and
• take steps to foolproof your home in the event of a flood.

The City’s All Hazards Plan includes helpful information about flood preparedness. Please visit our website at: http://www.redmond.gov/insidecityhall/fire/disasterprep/disflood.asp.

There is a lot of helpful information at the National Flood Insurance Program’s website: http://www.floodsmart.gov.

How do I report a flood problem?

For flooding emergencies, see the City’s contact list here.

For flooding non-emergencies, you may use the City’s webform here.
