Most aspects of
the Stormwater Utility are managed through the Natural Resources Division. The City of
Redmond’s Natural Resources Division is a multi-disciplinary group of staff
who share the mission:
"To Preserve, Protect and Enhance the Land, and Water Resources of the City
of Redmond and Support Regional Efforts to do the Same."
Collectively the Division is tasked with:
- Development and implementation of the Comprehensive Stormwater
Plan
- Watershed Planning for Stormwater Management and Habitat
- Stream and Habitat Enhancement Projects
- Management of the Stormwater Capital Improvement Program
- Aquifer Protection
- Monitoring of Water Quality
- General Environmental Monitoring
- Drainage System Inspection
- General Environmental Education
- Surface Water Education and Outreach
- Drinking Water Programs
- Recycling, Waste Reduction and Disposal Programs
