The City of
Redmond’s Development Services Division within the Public Works Department
supports and works closely with the Planning Department’s Permit Center to assist
developers, contractors, and homeowners with meeting permit requirements for
land development and construction projects. Stormwater, wastewater,
potable water, and transportation engineers and technicians work together to
review development applications for construction within Redmond. This
division primarily reviews site improvements (earthwork and utilities), with building improvements
reviewed by the Planning Department. This division also works to update City
of Redmond codes and requirements to meet new challenges posed by changing
federal and state regulations. Once projects are completed, they are
recorded in as-built drawings that are submitted to the City. These
documents are available for review at the walk-up counter in City Hall.
