Water Supply Status

This summer’s water supply is good.  Frequent rains early in summer and milder temperatures mean that the demand for water is not as high as could be expected.  The NOAA National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration predicts probable lower temperatures than normal, but no more precipitation than normal.  NOAA Forecast for the Seattle Area.

Where Does my Water Come From?

Redmond is part of the Cascade Water Alliance (CWA) and buys more than 65% of its supply from the Seattle Tolt River supply through the CWA. The rest of our supply comes from our 5 wells that serve the areas of town east of the Sammamish River.

Redmond is part of the western region of the United States that faces its seventh year of dry summer seasons and abnormally dry conditions. How dry? Check the US Drought Monitor website.
