Crime Prevention at the Redmond Police Department means more than target hardening and self-protection. It includes working in partnership with the community to address ways to prevent crime and drug abuse. This commitment allows all of us to continue to improve the quality of life in Redmond, and carry out the city's vision statement, "Together We Create a Community of Good Neighbors". The Crime Prevention Unit is dedicated to provide the community with programs designed to meet the particular needs of individuals, neighborhoods, schools, civic groups, and businesses. Crime Prevention continues to increase people's interest in, and awareness of, such topics as personal safety, robbery, theft, business security, and home security and Neighborhood/Block Watch. To best serve the community the Redmond Police Department provides the following programs.
