The Family Violence Unit is an integral part of
the division. Assigned detectives, along with a victim’s legal advocate,
provide not only an investigative capability, but strive to offer
essential services to victims of domestic violence. The Family Violence
Unit actively investigates spousal abuse, child abuse, and youth in the
family unit who are engaging in at-risk behaviors. They collaborate with
a number of community partners to intervene and stop the cycle of
violence in a family, to support victims of domestic violence through the
court process, and to ensure at-risk youth and their families are
immediately referred for a community-based needs assessment. The Family
Violence Unit also provides education to community groups. Questions
and/or matters involving family violence, youths at risk, child abuse,
etc., can be answered by calling 425-556-2669 or by
emailing the assigned
detectives. You may also reach our
Legal Advocate
at 425-556-2668.
