The Redmond Police Department is accredited by the
Washington Association of Sheriffs and Police Chiefs
(WASPC).
The mission of WASPC is to lead collaboration among law enforcement
executives to enhance public safety.
Washington was the first state with a totally operational,
independent accreditation process. Founded in 1963, WASPC
is the only association of its kind in the nation combining
representatives from local, state, tribal, and federal law enforcement
into a single body, working toward a common goal.
