    www.crisisclinic.org  Crisis Clinic - This website has information about an extensive array of community resources online.  Also, individualized help regarding specific services in King County issues is also available 24 hours a day by telephone from the Community Information Line at any of these telephone numbers:  425-869-2811; 206-461-3200; or 1-800-621-4636.

    www.wa.gov/dshs   Department of Social and Health Services - This is the door through which one finds data about many subjects.  Among them are food stamps, general assistance, TANF (temporary assistance to needy families), as well as information about medical benefits or mental illness, child care, child support enforcement, services for persons with substance abuse issues, persons with developmental disabilities, needs for vocational rehabilitation or services related to foster children or protecting children from abuse, and much more.

    www.kindering.org   The Kindering Center - This site provides access to information about this agency which serves children who are developmentally disabled or abused, or have other special needs.

    Counseling and Mental Health
    www.family-services.org   Family Services - Family Services is a private, nonprofit counseling and social service agency.  They offer a variety of counseling, prevention, and support programs.  Primary programs include services for homeless children and families, domestic violence prevention and treatment, employee assistance and grief counseling, and much more.

    www.multifaith.org   Multi-Faith AIDS Project, a program of Multi-Faith Works - This site provides information on services to people affected directly or indirectly by AIDS.

    www.smh.org  Seattle Mental Health - Offers services on the Eastside and throughout King County.

    Mental Health Ombuds - Service of King County provides information and referral for King County mental health resources and help in resolving complaints.  It currently has no website but can be reached at 206-205-5329.

    www.edvp.org   Eastside Domestic Violence Program - offers help and information on domestic violence.

    www.domestic-violence.org   Washington Stateside Domestic Violence Hotline - In addition to the website's information about domestic violence and related services, help can be received by calling 1-800-562-6025.

    www.wa.gov/esd  Washington State Department of Employment Security - This is the website that links to Work Source (Job Service Centers).  The site in Bellevue has a special program "Project Connect," to help residents of Redmond find jobs.  Their website is www.wa.gov/esd/ws/bellevue or you may call them at 425-739-8132 for more information. 

    www.wa.gov/lni/insurance   Washington State Department of Labor and Industries - This site offers information regarding workers compensation, vocational rehabilitation, self-insurance, and much more - for both the employer and the employee.

    www.literacy-elc.org   Eastside Literacy Council - offers tutoring for Eastsiders with literacy skills below high school level, lacking a GED, or needing help with understanding English.

A similar set of services are offered by King County Housing Association, which does not have a website but may be telephoned at 425-827-4463 or 206-244-7750.
