The Building Division provides permitting,
plan review and inspection services to ensure that buildings are safe
for the citizens of Redmond.
The Building Division staff, under the direction of the Building
Official, consists of permit technicians, plans examiners,
inspectors and an administrative assistant. The Building Division reviews,
issues and inspects Building, Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, Sign and
Demolition permits. In addition, the staff of the Building Division is part of the City's emergency operations team providing post event evaluation
of buildings to determine if they are safe. Please feel free to contact us
if you have any questions concerning building permits or building
construction issues.
Our Development Services Center is located on the second floor of City Hall at 15670
NE 85th Street. The Development Services Center is open from
9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Monday through Friday. We ask that you arrive before 4:00 pm in
order to properly process your application or permit by 5:00 pm.

A plans examiner is available daily from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm to answer any building or
construction code related questions. To
