Building Division What's New:

The Development Services Center will be closed:
February 15th - for President's Day

Permits wanting to be reviewed under the 2006 IRC or IBC need to be submitted and accepted for review before June 30th, 2010. The new 2009 code cycle starts on July 1st, 2010.

The Building Valuation Data Table will change as of November 12, 2009. For projects constructed on or after this date, please see the new 2009 Table here.

Permit Information:

The Development Services Center is open at 8:00 am and closes at 5:00 pm. Please arrive before 4:00 pm in order to have your permit processed prior to closing.

An appointment is needed when applying for any permit that requires plan review or when applying for more than three (3) over-the-counter- permits. To schedule an appointment, please contact one of our Permit Technicians at 425-556-2473 or by email to Permit Tech.

Helpful Hints:

CAUTION:  Be wary of contractors who ask you to pick up the permit.  In most cases, the contractor is required to take out the necessary permits.  Permits are your protection and help ensure that work performed meets local building codes.
