The new Grass Lawn Pavilion, 7031 148
Ave NE, features indoor/outdoor auxiliary heating, tables and chairs, sink,
fireplace, charcoal barbeque, outdoor water feature, and playgrounds
nearby. (Watch for new artwork to come.) It is located near parking and
public restrooms.
Other new features at Grass Lawn Park include climbing boulders,
enhanced playground equipment throughout the park, sensor-activated kids
splash pad, and naturescape fountain. We've used some of the latest
environmental technologies, including a "green roof" for the Operations
building (corner of the parking lot), porous asphalt paths, plus a rain
garden to save thousands of gallons of storm water from entering the
storm sewer system.
Reservations accepted August - September 2008:

9am-10pm
Requests for reservations for
a minimum of 2 hours at this
facility must be made in person with a
reservation application at least 10 days prior to your event date, at
the Old Redmond Schoolhouse Community Center, 16600 NE 80th St. Office
hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-8pm; Saturdays 9am-1pm. A $100 deposit is
required. No alcohol allowed.
The
pavilion is open for drop-in use Sundays-Thursdays, 9am-7:30pm and
Fridays, 9am-2pm.

There is a non-refundable $10 processing fee charged per rental contract.
If more than 30 days notice of cancellation is given, we refund all but the
administrative fee. Less than 30 days notice, there is no refund.
We are trying to provide adequate space for all the activities in our
popular Grass Lawn Park. We
schedule activities carefully to ensure a positive experience when you use
our facilities.
This new gathering place will be available for rental on an increasing basis
after the busy summer
season has ended in the park. Check this webpage for availability updates.
