Duties:
This position will work closely with the Teen Center staff and assist
with numerous clerical and receptionist duties. Receive and respond to phone
calls from the general public, update listings and messages on multi-line phone
system, photocopy and file archival materials, maintain filing system, order
supplies and run other errands, help build community relationships, research
grant opportunities, and other tasks as assigned. This incumbent will be
expected to make strict deadlines and have a high standard of material output.
Upon completion of internship, candidate will have a working familiarity of
current Microsoft Office software, office equipment and operations.
Education and Experience:
Applicants that have familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite will be given
preference. Applicants must have a strong desire to work in this field!
Working Conditions:
Work is done at the City of Redmond’s Old Fire House Teen Center, a non-profit
teen drop-in program. Subject to frequent interruptions and occasional lifting
of up to 20lbs may be required.
