The Redmond Fire Department strives for excellence and seeks to
constantly provide the best possible service to the citizens of Redmond.

The City of Redmond contracts with National Testing Network to
provide testing for Firefighter positions for the Redmond Fire
Department. NTN utilizes a continuous testing process. A civil service
eligibility list will be established from qualified candidates.
Applicants must meet the following minimum
requirements at the time of application:
- US Citizen
- 18 years of age
- High School Graduate/GED
- Valid Washington State's drivers license
- Ability to successfully complete testing selection process
- Ability to successfully complete the Washington State Fire Training Academy
Selection process includes but is not limited to the following:
- City of Redmond application
- Physical ability test (the City of Redmond will NOT accept CPAT
results from other agencies. You MUST have a current CPAT from NTN to be
considered for employment)
- Written test with NTN
- Oral Board interview
- Chiefs interview
- Psychological evaluation
- Medical examination
- Background check
