Comments from the public meeting are currently being gathered and
transcribed. With the next public meeting tentatively scheduled
for the fall, Redmond residents and business owners are encouraged to
submit comments about the proposed plans for the Downtown East/West
Corridor anytime throughout the summer. Click on the link provided
to access the comment sheet,
which includes instructions on how to submit your comments to City
staff.
As the comments are being reviewed, some themes are emerging.
Generally, respondents are in agreement that Redmond Way and Cleveland
Street should be converted back to two-way traffic. Respondents
are also pleased with the proposed pedestrian-friendly future of
Downtown Redmond, and would like to see this area eventually become a
social center full of art and entertainment. Some respondents are
concerned about adequate parking and request a better understanding of
the proposed changes to Redmond Way and Cleveland Street.
