The Redmond Pedestrian and Bicycle
Advisory Committee (PBAC) advises the Public Works Department, City Council,
Washington State Department of Transportation, and other groups on
non-motorized transportation issues Their mission is to enhance
Redmond’s non-motorized transportation system to better enable people to
safely and efficiently move about the community by foot and bicycle.
The committee’s ongoing efforts include
the prioritization and allocation of funds from the Sidewalk Improvement
Program and Bicycle Facilities Improvement Program to projects that
improve non-motorized transportation in Redmond. PBAC also provides
feedback on nonmotorized issues related to City construction and
planning projects. Active projects involving the PBAC include extending
the PSE Trail from the Sammamish River Trail to Kirkland and efforts to
identify, prioritize, and construct several neighborhood connections.
Recent accomplishments that PBAC had a role in include the successful
completion of the link between "BIKE520" and the Sammamish River
Trail.
The PBAC meetings are open to the public and held from 6:30 to 8:00 pm
on the 2nd Monday of each month in the Trestle Room on the first floor
of the Redmond City Hall. If you would like to receive an agenda
