Status: Phase I (SR 520 to East Lake Sammamish Parkway) was complete in February 2006.
Phase II (East Lake Sammamish Parkway to Sahalee Way) is expected to be complete in 2010.

Description: The WSDOT is widening SR 202 from SR 520 to Sahalee Way.  The project includes one new traffic lane in each direction between SR 520 and Sahalee Way.  Traffic signals and turn lanes will be added or modified at intersections with the eastbound SR 520 off-ramp, NE 70 Street, East Lake Sammamish Parkway, 185 Avenue NE, 187 Avenue NE, 192 Avenue NE, 208 Avenue NE, and Sahalee Way.  Within the City limits, there will be new bike lanes, sidewalks with planter strips, and landscaped center medians.  Sound reduction and retaining walls will be constructed.  Aerial utilities will convert to underground, and a new street light system will be installed.  The total length of the project within the City of Redmond is about 6,800 feet.
