NE 83rd Street Corridor Design

The design for the NE 83rd Street Corridor reinforces our community’s vision for downtown Redmond as a place where people can live, work, shop, and have fun.  It also responds to comments from the community about pedestrian safety, pedestrian friendliness, and on-street parking in this area.  The design emphasizes:

  • Wider sidewalks
  • Activity nodes at mid-block walkway areas for benches, landscaping and art work
  • Directional signs for pedestrians
  • Gateways at 158th and 166th Avenue NE to connect the corridor to the Sammamish River Trail and the Old Redmond School House Community Center
  • On-street parking
  • Alignment of intersections
