Pre-festival Film Screening and Filmmakers Reception

Join us for a free Pre-festival Screening of two films, Pedro Pan and Caramelos para todos (Candy for All). The films provide a sneak peak to the longer Seattle Latino Film Festival (SLFF) that begins on October 3rd in theaters and TV screens around the Seattle Area, including Redmond.

“This Fall SLFF presents films about immigration and friendship, two subjects that are paramount to the Latino experience right now,” said Jorge Enrique González Pacheco, SLFF founder and executive director. “Pedro Pan and Caramelos para todos show us how important it is to have friends and pay attention.”

The film screening begins at 3pm followed by a Filmmakers Reception at 5pm with Director Andrea Puente, SLFF founderand executive director Jorge Enrique González Pacheco, and other SLFF staff. Complimentary refreshments will be served.

Caramelos para todos (Candy for All)

Carcas follows Cuban pianist Bebo Valdes on his legendary visit to Brazil after 40 years of exile in Europe. This documentary is the making of El milagro de Candeal (Miracle of Candeal), a documentary about Bebo Valdes and Calinhos Brown in Brazil, directed by Fernando Trueba.
