In 2015 and 2016, City maintenance workers conducted video inspections of downtown wastewater system pipes and stormwater system pipes on Education Hill and in the Sunrise Vue Development. These video inspections revealed that a number of existing wastewater and stormwater lines are badly deteriorated and in need of rehabilitation.

This project will rehabilitate approximately 3,850 lineal feet of wastewater pipe and 1,280 lineal feet of stormwater pipe using a cured-in place pipe trenchless technology. This technology rehabilitates pipes without needing to excavate the entire pipe. When completed, the existing wastewater and stormwater pipes will be restored with a new interior-hardened liner that will increase the life span of the pipes.

Construction is currently underway and is expected to be complete by the end of May 2018.
