Citizens Police Academy

It's Back! Citizens Police Academy 2015.

The Redmond Police Department is now accepting applications for the annual Citizens Police Academy, which starts March 12, 2015. This nine-week program helps familiarize the public with common police procedures, activities and investigative techniques. Classes will be held every Thursday from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. in RPD's Police Training Room.

There is no charge for this class. Space is limited - please register early! Applications are due by Feb. 27, 2015. Priority is given to applicants who live and/or work in the City of Redmond. You must be at least 18 years of age to apply. Children 12 or older may attend with parent or guardian.

Sessions are interactive and participants take part in a variety of demonstrations, presentations and field trips. Class members are also offered a ride-along with a patrol officer to see police work first-hand and close-up.
