The City of Redmond and Green Redmond Partnership are recruiting community members to become Forest Stewards for Redmond parks. The orientation for new Forest Stewards is Saturday, May 7 from 9 am to 12 noon at Farrel-McWhirter Park, 19545 Redmond Road.

Volunteer Forest Stewards learn about environmental restoration and volunteer management through trained staff and then lead ongoing restoration projects at a park they care about. The Green Redmond Partnership is successful because of the dedication and commitment of these volunteer Forest Stewards. On-going training, tools, and plants are provided by the program.
