Redmond, WA —
On Thursday, October 3, 2013, the City of Redmond will host a presentation and community conversation regarding the future of the City’s four recreation buildings, and the public is invited to attend. The event will take place at City Hall in Bytes Café and Lobby, from 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm.
In order to conduct the master plan study and to create conceptual designs, the City has hired a team of consultants – NAC│Architecture, Ballard*King Associates, and Water Technology, Inc.
The four recreation buildings being studied include:
- The Redmond Senior Center
- Old Fire House Teen Center
- Redmond Pool at Hartman Park
- Old Redmond Schoolhouse Community Center
At the October 3 event, five concept options will be presented – along with possible sites for a new aquatics community center – for the public to evaluate. Citizens are encouraged to attend and provide input.
Resulting feedback from the event will be used to narrow options to one recommended concept that will be unveiled at a community open house slated for November 13, 2013.
This project is part of the City’s overall vision create a dynamic urban core with amenities, activities and services that will become a hub for an assortment of recreational, social, cultural arts and community-friendly events.
