6:00pm Improvisational Comedy

7:00pm A Midsummer Night's Dream
GreenStage
There’s something for everyone cavorting in the enchanted forest of Athens in Shakespeare’s A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM. Fairies, elves, sprites, star-crossed lovers, dukes and duchesses, and a motley band of actors get into all sorts of mischief with their magic love potions, madcap schemes, and amorous intentions. Plus, there’s a guy who gets turned into a donkey! We adore a good love story, don’t you?

Saturday August 17, 2013

1:00pm Wedding Horror Stories
Seattle Experimental Theater
You know what weddings bring: open bars, embarrassing family members and terrible bridesmaids dresses. We feel your pain. SET is opening the Pandora’s Box of your wedding memories and retelling them as we all take a therapeutic, healing journey through the worst that weddings have to offer. During each performance, the cast will take wedding stories from the audience to retell onstage for comedic results. Whether you’re attending a wedding this summer or still recovering from old wounds, we can help you laugh it off.

2:30pm Where No Man Has Gone Before…
Seattle Experimental Theater
Adventure! Beautiful women! Exotic alien worlds! Seattle Experimental Theater is proud to present its original unscripted comedy— Where No Man Has Gone Before, a fully improvised parody of the original Star Trek TV series. Each performance the cast will use suggestions from the audience to create the world and plot of the show.

4:00pm Two Gentlemen of Verona
Last Leaf Productions
The play deals with the themes of friendship and infidelity, the conflict between friendship and love, and the foolish behavior of people in love. The highlight of the play is considered by some to be Launce, the clownish servant of Proteus, and his dog Crab, to whom "the most scene-stealing non-speaking role in the canon" has been attributed.

5:30pm Othello
Last Leaf Productions
The mercenary Moor Othello, general of the Venetian armies, has just married Desdemona, daughter of a powerful senator. But their delight cannot last long. The villain Iago will see to that. He is jealous for having been passed over for promotion by Othello in favor of the untested gentleman soldier Michael Cassio. He will stop at nothing until he uses Desdemona to destroy the two men he hates.

7:00pm Merry Wives of Windsor
GreenStage’s Backyard Bard
Falstaff is experiencing an economic downturn.  What better way to refill his empty purse than to woo two wealthy married women he's only just met?  What could possibly go laughably, horribly wrong for this beloved, famous knight?  Discover the heights to which a noble suitor will pretend to aspire, and the depths to which he'll also sink, just to win the hearts and coffers of women much, much smarter than he.

8:00pm Opera’s Greatest Hits
Opera on Tap
Opera on Tap is a non-profit organization whose mission is to break down the stereo-type that opera is a stuffy or elitist art form by bringing it to non-traditional performance venues. Local singers let their hair down and bring you into what feels like an after hours back stage party, singing some of opera's best known and little known pieces in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.

2:00pm The Magic Pudding

Family fun abounds when the pudding gets stolen, is lost, and then found again in this rollicking misadventure that is sure to delight hearts from 8 to 80!

3:30pm The Totally True and Almost Accurate Adventures of Pinocchio
Balagan Theatre
When a historic Italian theater troupe attempts to tell the most perfect tale of Pinocchio, nothing goes according to plan and everything goes hilariously awry!

4:30pm KIDprov!
Split 2nd Improv
Join the Split 2nd Improv team on stage and become part of the action. It's never the same show twice, because the audience decides what happens!

6:00pm Cucumber Phil
Evergreen Family Theater
Cucumber Phil is the finest cucumber farmer in all of Cucumber Valley. His life with his somewhat goofy cucumber-growing friends is perfect. Then Artichoke Annie shows up and wants to grow something different. Can Phil be friends with Annie and keep his old friends? Or will he choose to join them in driving Annie away? And what does all of this have to do with Buster the Evil Pig?

7:00pm Tiny Twelfth Night
GreenStage’s Backyard Bard

Shipwrecked in Illyria, separated from her twin brother Sebastian, Viola disguises herself as a man and hides in the court of her nation's enemy, Duke Orsino, who also happens to be the man of her dreams.  The course of true love ne'er ran less smoothly than in this delightful tale of mistaken identity, passions poetically misdirected, and two or three or four hearts bourne aloft on the clumsy wings of romance.
