Development Guide Amendments

What is a Development Guide Amendment? A Development Guide Amendment (DGA) is a proposed modification to either the Comprehensive Plan or Redmond Community Development Guide. A DGA can be proposed by the City (for example modifying Neighborhood Plan policies and regulations), but can also be privately initiated.

The Comprehensive Plan consists of policy statements that provide the community's vision for the future, primarily to guide the physical development of the City as well as certain aspects of its social and economic character.

The Redmond Community Development Guide consists of specific development regulations and procedures which implement the policies in the Comprehensive Plan related to development and land use.

Most DGA's follow the Type VI process, which requires a public hearing before the Planning Commission and final approval by the City Council. View this flow chart of the process. View the Planning Commission meeting agendas and documents related to topics under review at this link.
