Redmond Bike Park Site Selection Public Meeting

The City of Redmond will host a third community meeting to discuss a dirt bike park on Education Hill on Wednesday, February 10 at 6:30pm in the Commons at Horace Mann Elementary School, 17001 NE 104th Street, Redmond. The City's preferred site location will be presented with time available for attendees to provide comments.

Bicycle dirt jumps have existed on water utility-owned property south of Hartman Park since the mid-1990s or longer. The City is working with interested community members to legitimize this use through evaluation of the site location, professional design, applicable permitting and community involvement.

The City hired contractors to conduct critical areas analysis, civil design and bike park design. The contractors have assisted the City in evaluating three potential locations for the project, the existing location and two locations within Hartman Park.

The goals established for the design of the dirt jumps are to create safer jumps for everyone including jump lines for beginners and more advanced riders and to address environmental stewardship for the site.
