Park Maintenance Extended into Evening

The City of Redmond Parks and Recreation Department initiated a new program to improve customer service for evening park patrons.  Several Park Operations maintenance staff will now be on duty during the evenings until 8:30 pm, seven days a week, in our most heavily used community parks.  These parks include Hartman, Grass Lawn, Perrigo and Idylwood.  The program duration is from May through September.

This new program will provide additional maintenance staff in the parks during the late afternoon and evening hours when they are most heavily used.  Maintenance staff will be performing routine tasks such as restroom cleaning, litter pickup, picnic shelter cleaning, etc. Another major focus of their duties will be to interact with the public, answer any questions and assist whenever necessary.

The goal is for our park patrons to have the highest quality park experience possible.  For assistance while at one of the City's community parks, look for a staff person wearing a dark blue shirt with the City of Redmond logo.  The Park Operations staff is there to serve all park users.
