On Wednesday, June 24, beginning at 7pm at Norman Rockwell
Elementary School Library, 11125 162nd Avenue NE, the City of
Redmond will hold a third community meeting for a new neighborhood
park in the North East Redmond neighborhood.
At the first and second meetings, residents provided ideas for
activities they would like to see in the park and then selected
their favorite park layout and play elements from those presented.
At this meeting, a draft Master Plan, based on the input received to
date, will be presented. This plan will identify the major
elements to be included in the park design. Plans for
implementing some temporary trail and play features this summer will
also be discussed.
The location for the new five acre park is the north side of NE
122nd Street, between NE 176th and NE 177th Avenues. This site
was purchased in 2000 to provide needed park space in a rapidly
growing neighborhood.
This summer, the City is organizing several work parties at the park
site to clear brush, create a trail and build play features.
The first work party is Saturday, July 18 from 9am to 1pm.
Volunteers are asked to meet on the north side of NE 122nd Street,
between NE 176th and NE 177th Avenues.

regarding this project or the July 18 work party, contact B
