Public artists are invited to submit their proposals for the 9th
Annual Redmond Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition. Up to 15
sculptures will be selected for exhibition at sites throughout
Redmond including parks, neighborhoods and local businesses.
The current exhibition and additional
information is available at
www.redmond.gov/arts. Artists will receive a stipend and their
work will be available for sale.
Key criteria for selection include art of the highest quality, the
maintainability of the art and the suitability for the location.
The permanence, durability and safety of design and installation
will also be considered.
Those interested are asked to include a current resume, five images
of work completed and available for installation (either printed or
on a CD); directory to the images with title, date, medium, size and
selling price; requirements and directions for installation and a
self-addressed stamped envelope to return the submittal materials
(if desired).
Postmarked entries are due Friday, April 24 by 4pm.
Submissions can be hand-delivered to Redmond City Hall, Redmond Arts
Commission, 15670 NE 85th Street, 4th Floor Parks, Redmond, WA 98052
from Monday to Friday, 9am to 4:30pm. They can be mailed to
City of Redmond Arts Commission, PO Box 97010, MS: 4NPK, Redmond WA
98073-9710.
Selected artists will be notified in June with dedication and
installation in Sept/Oct 2009.
