A one-car fatal crash has closed Avondale Road in Redmond
through the morning rush-hour between NE 104th Street and
Novelty Hill Road. A vehicle was traveling southbound on
Avondale Way shortly before 3:00 a.m. when nearby residents
heard the crash and called 911. Redmond police arrived on
the scene within one minute. The cause of the crash and
additional information regarding the driver's identification
is unknown and under investigation by the Redmond Police
Traffic Division. There are no preliminary indications of
drug or alcohol involvement.
Commuters should plan on using alternate routes during their
morning commute.
