Redmond Police will wait tables to raise money and
awareness for Washington Special Olympics during their
annual Red Robin "Tip-a-Cop" event. Today, Saturday, April
12, 2008, Police Officers statewide will trade in their
handcuffs and badges for menus and serving trays at local
Red Robin Restaurants.
Officers will be greeting the public and helping Red Robin
staff wait tables to raise money for the Special Olympics.
Redmond Police Officers will be participating at both the
Town Center and Overlake Restaurants.
Please visit
www.sowa.org (Special Olympics Washington) to learn more
or to find a participating restaurant near you. Proceeds
from the Tip-a-Cop event assist in allowing Special Olympics
Washington to provide year round sports training and
competition to children and adults with developmental
disabilities.
