Community Invited to Suggest Program Ideas to City

The second in a series of Budgeting by Priorities Community Meetings will be held on Thursday, April 24 from 6:30 to 9:30 pm at the Redmond City Hall Council Chambers, 15670 NE 85th Street.  The purpose of this meeting is for residents and businesses to suggest program and service ideas they feel will best achieve the City's budget priorities.  The six budget priorities were developed by citizens during focus groups and meetings in February.

"At the first meeting in February, participants reviewed the priorities and brainstormed factors that would contribute to the success of those priorities," stated Mayor John Marchione.  "At this upcoming meeting, we are asking community members to come with their ideas for possible proposals that City departments could develop to accomplish the budget priorities."

Those wanting to participate are encouraged to review the meeting information on the City's Budgeting by Priorities website anytime after April 15 to get a better understanding of the tools the City will use to develop the program and service proposals.
