Redmond Planning Commission has Vacancy

Redmond residents with an interest in the future growth and character of the city are invited to apply for a vacancy on the Redmond Planning Commission. Planning Commissioners are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council and may serve up to two four-year terms.

The Commission’s role is to make recommendations to the City Council regarding planning policy and zoning regulations. This year, the Commission will work on a number of important issues related to housing, transportation and neighborhood planning.

Planning Commission meetings are held at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, typically three times a month, and are cablecast live on Redmond City Television (RCTV 21). (View past meetings on demand, or check times for upcoming RCTV scheduled options.)

Interested residents living within Redmond city limits should contact the Mayor’s office at 425-556-2101 or download a community service application form from the web. Mail the completed application to the Office of the Mayor, City of Redmond, P.O. Box 97010, Redmond, WA 98073-9710 or fax to 425-556-2110. If available, include a resume or summary of related experience. All board and commission members are volunteers.

New applications are preferred by April 11; however, the position is open until filled. For more information, contact 425-556-2101 or thudson@redmond.gov.
