Redmond Council Appointed to Committees

Mayor John Marchione has appointed City Council members to serve on important regional and City boards and committees. With a mix of experience and new talent to choose from, the mayor was able to match assignments with interest and expertise.

“It is vital for Redmond to have a strong presence on regional committees to ensure our interests are represented,” noted Mayor Marchione. “It is just as important that Redmond speak in a unified voice when issues overlap and I’m confident these appointments will do just that.”

Appointments to regional committees for 2008 are:
Cascade Water Alliance Board of Directors – John Marchione; Nancy McCormick, alternate
Eastside Human Services Forum – Pat Vache
Eastside Transportation Partnership – Nancy McCormick; Kim Allen; John Marchione, alternate
I-405 Congestion Relief/Bus Rapid Transit – John Marchione
Jail Assembly – Kim Allen
SR-520 Bridge Replacement/HOV Project Exec Committee – John Marchione; Richard Cole, alternate; Hank Myers, alternate
Suburban Cities Association public Issues Committee – John Marchione; Richard Cole, alternate
Water Resource Inventory Area 8 Salmon Recovery Council – John Marchione

Appointments to City committees for 2008 are:
City Disability Board – Richard Cole; Hank Margeson
Lodging Tax Advisory Committee – David Carson

Earlier this month, Mayor Marchione was appointed to the Sound Transit Board, a first for a Redmond elected official.
