On Wednesday, September 26, the City of Redmond will host a
community briefing about how the City manages transportation
concurrency. The briefing will be held in the Council Chambers
Conference Room from 5 to 7 pm.
Concurrency is a State law requiring that all transportation
improvements and strategies necessary to serve development are built
and in place at the time of development, or are financially
committed, within six years. City staff is preparing a draft to
adopt regulations that use a “plan-based” approach to maintaining
concurrency, and will be available at the community briefing to
discuss the draft with the public.
For more information about concurrency, or about the community
briefing, please contact Joel Pfundt, Transportation Planner,
Transportation Services Division at 425-556-2750 or
jpfundt@redmond.gov or Terry Marpert, Principal Planner,
Planning Department at 425-556-2428 or
tmarpert@redmond.gov.
